On Thursday, October 13, 2016, the Systems for Improved Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services (SIAPS) Program hosted a special webinar and live Q&A session on how access to and use of data helps to build resilient and responsive pharmaceutical systems.
Access to and use of quality data and information management tools enables governments, healthcare providers, and program managers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) to make effective and data-informed decisions. The SIAPS Program supports national pharmaceutical information systems so that healthcare leaders and frontline workers have access to timely, quality, and reliable data to make lifesaving decisions about patient care and treatment.
Presented by SIAPS Program Director, Francis Aboagye-Nyame, the webinar provided an overview of how two SIAPS-supported countries, Mali and Ukraine, have addressed systemic challenges and found solutions to enable data-informed planning and decision making. The webinar was be followed by a live Q&A session.
