Each spring the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health sponsor the Global Health Mini-University, a day-long forum for global health professionals and students. The event features a variety of sessions on areas such as HIV/AIDS, family planning, and health systems. This past year, the SIAPS program gave three presentations on expanding access to medicines:
- “How Strengthening Medicines RegulatoryAuthorities Can Increase Access to Medicines” by David Mabirizi
- “Gender, Medicine, and the Road to Equity#AreWeThereYet?” by Emily Delmotte.
