A Call for Case Studies: What Works to Strengthen Pharmaceutical Systems?
On August 9, USAID/Office of Health Systems (OHS) and SIAPS held a final informational webinar about a global call for case studies in pharmaceutical systems strengthening. The purpose of this global call and evidence collection is to highlight and make widely available successful strategies and actions that have been used to improve access to and use of pharmaceutical products and services around the world.
Published evidence of pharmaceutical systems strengthening is limited, and the documentation that does exist is neither well known nor widely shared. This call for submissions is an opportunity for all of us working in this field to present interventions that have made a difference in health systems and health outcomes.
The USAID-funded Systems for Improved Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services (SIAPS) Program will help coordinate this collection of case studies on a dedicated website to recognize the important efforts of implementers, donors, and governments who have expanded the field of evidence in pharmaceutical systems strengthening.
We appreciate the diversity and caliber of the case studies that have already submitted by varied implementing entities. Thank you for your submission! We look forward to this final push to ensure that more agencies, partners, governments, academic institutions, and others are represented in this evidence collection. Case studies must be submitted by August 11.
